Testimonials

"Nychelle is an amazing artist and person. I have at least 20hrs of time under the needle with her alone. Scheduling is easy and I always leave satisfied with my tattoo. Definitely recommend and will have plenty of more work done by Nychelle myself.."
-Ariel F.
"I have quite a few tattoos and I must say that this was my best experience getting a tattoo. Nychelle was very friendly and provided a clean and comfortable environment. Now let's talk about the tattoo itself. I am 1000% happy with the quality. She's not heavy handed and it never once felt like she was dragging the needle on my skin. To be honest, her touch was so gentle it almost felt like a tickle. Nychelle is my new tattoo artist and if she's not doing it....I don't want it done!."
-L. Morris.
"I got my back tattoo done over a year ago and I am absolutely in love with it. Having had a bad tattoo experience before, I was a little apprehensive but Nychelle was extremely gentle on my skin, offered great advice on the healing process and the tattoo came out perfectly (her body butter is amazing). She is also super personable, her shop is clean and the ambience at the shop is very welcoming. I can’t wait to get more work done by her 🤩 I totally recommend her."

Tattoo Aftercare

Proper aftercare is crucial for ensuring your new tattoo heals well and looks vibrant in the long run. Here’s a step-by-step guide for tattoo aftercare:

Day of Getting the Tattoo:

  1. Leave the bandage on for a few hours: Your tattoo artist will likely cover your fresh tattoo with a bandage or plastic wrap. Leave this covering on for the time specified by your artist, typically around 2-4 hours.

  2. Wash your hands: Before touching your tattoo, make sure your hands are clean to avoid introducing bacteria.

  3. Gently remove the bandage: Peel it off slowly, and if it sticks, you can wet it to make removal easier.

  4. Clean the tattoo: Wash the tattoo gently with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Use your hands, not a washcloth or sponge.

  5. Pat dry with a clean towel: Avoid rubbing; instead, gently pat the tattoo dry.

  6. Air dry for a few minutes: Let your tattoo breathe and air dry before applying any ointment.

First Week:

  1. Apply a thin layer of ointment or moisturizer: Use a recommended ointment like Aquaphor or a specialized tattoo aftercare product. Apply a thin layer to keep the tattoo moisturized but not excessively greasy.

  2. Repeat cleaning and moisturizing: Clean your tattoo 2-3 times a day and apply a thin layer of ointment each time. This helps prevent scabbing and promotes healing.

  3. Avoid tight or abrasive clothing: Wear loose, breathable clothing over the tattooed area to prevent irritation.

  4. Avoid sun exposure: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight, and if it’s exposed, use a high SPF sunscreen.

First Month:

  1. Continue moisturizing: As your tattoo heals, switch to a mild, fragrance-free lotion. Apply regularly to prevent dryness.

  2. Avoid scratching or picking: It’s normal for tattoos to itch, but resist the urge to scratch. Picking at scabs can damage the tattoo and hinder the healing process.

  3. Stay out of pools, hot tubs, and saunas: Submerging your tattoo in water for extended periods can soften the skin and potentially damage the healing process.

  4. Limit physical activity: Avoid activities that could cause excessive sweating, as sweat can irritate the healing tattoo.

Long-Term Care:

  1. Protect from the sun: Even after healing, protect your tattoo from prolonged sun exposure by using sunscreen.

  2. Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle: Proper hydration and overall health contribute to the longevity and vibrancy of your tattoo.

  3. Consult your tattoo artist for touch-ups: After the initial healing, if you notice any areas that need improvement, consult your artist for touch-ups.

Remember, every person’s skin is different, so individual healing times may vary. If you have concerns about your healing process, don’t hesitate to contact your tattoo artist or a healthcare professional.
